Did your water break in public?

I am selling my car and found a bag in the trunk storage space that I had packed a year ago that had a big pad, gym shorts and a HUGE pair of granny panties to put on if my water broke at work. I think I was a little terrified...ha. My OB had to break mine at the hospital but wanted to see if anyone's broke in a public place? (boring question but I am stalling painting my kitchen a second coat..ugh.)

Dude, what else is haunting your car if you just now (a year later) found some huge tricked-out labor bag in the backseat? Scared of that.

Mine broke at work. I was 32 wks 3 days pregnant not prepared at all. Thankfully DH and I work in the same office. I thought at first I just peed my pants walking to the bathroom. I made DH come to my desk to heat up my lunch becuase I had wet my pants but when it keep coming out every time a moved I got worried called the OB office. They sent me to L&D by the time I got there I was completely soaked.

No, but DH's cousin's water broke while we were visiting her. They had tried to induce her the day before and it failed. So, she was overdue and miserable, sitting there entertaining visiting relatives from 1,000 miles away.

Since I was the wise one with a 6 month old, I got to keep her calm and tell her to bring towels for the car ride while her DH ran around frantically repacking her bag from the induction (don't know why they didn't just leave it packed?).

Ha! Luckily that was it! I bought the car a week before I delivered so I was really into using all the gadgets and things. My stroller has taken up the trunk since then so I never thought of lifting up the secret cubby door. I take that back...I did have a can of air in their that my dad insists will save me one day.

no, but my aunt always told me to grab a jar of pickles when grocery shopping, then, if my water broke, drop the jar on the floor and blame the pickles for the mess.

My BIL waited tables for a few months, and a lady's water broke at the restaurant onto his shoes. And they stayed and ate their meal before heading off to the hospital...which is understandable except for the fact that she didn't change her clothes or anything. Ick!

ETA: I had to be induced, so mine was broken by my OB.

She probably knew it was her last meal by herself to eat a hot plate of food for a while. Smart woman! She should have had my bag of tricks with her!

nope. it broke right as i was sitting down to go to the bathroom (i'm surprised it didn't get all over the bathroom floor). the little voice in my head woke me up and i tried to ignore until it started saying "get your ass to the bathroom NOW"

I was at Baby Gap buying a gift for my nephew, it thought I had peed my pants. It was really embarrassing walking by the lunch crowd on the patio of The Cheesecake Factory to get to my car!

No, thank goodness! With my 2 sons it broke in bed in the middle of the night and with DD they broke it at the hospital.

Well, there were about 38 people in the room so it felt like public, but no, I was in bed in the hospital.

Mine broke while I was sitting on the toilet! I had already been in labor for awhile and it was the only place I could comfortably sit.
