VW Jetta drivers & car seats

I've always LOVED my car, but we have limited space in the back. Our Chicco car set rubs against the front seats. DH and I are both tall, so we usually have the seats a little further back.

 Any Jetta drivers have a convertible car seat that fits well. DS is nearly 20 lbs. so we are starting to look at car seats. TIA!

    We are still using our Peg Perego Primo Viaggio infant seat but we have the Evenflo Triumph for the next stage. ?I never thought about it not fitting in the Jetta, and hopefully we'll be in an SUV by the time we need to switch!

    We have a Jetta and also had the Chicco infant seat. It was really tight! The Britax Marathon is just as tight, if not tighter. I moved that seat to our SUV and just ordered a Maxi Cosi. Apparently it fits well in small cars...we'll see!

    I have the GLI model and hate how tight it is. I loose the front seat. I bought the my ride convertable seat and I want to see how it fits I'm sure it's super tight!

    I have a Jetta and my DS is also 20 lbs - we recently bought a Britax Boulevard CS and have it in the middle seat. It does touch the sides of the two front seats, but this doesn't seem to interfere with the installation/safety of the seat.

    If you can go to a BRU, or maybe other store in your area, you can take the seats out to your car and test-install them. I was surprised that the Boulevard is considered one of the bigger Britax seats, but when rear-facing, the dimension that limits you (from toe to top of headrest), isn't any bigger than on other Britax seats.

    DS seems super comfy, so we're happy.

    BRU is having a sale right now if you trade in certain things you get 20% off on carseats (and some other stuff).

    Married June '03. DS born Jan '09. DD born Feb '12. No, we didn't choose to be childless for the first 6 years, only the first 3.
