DH does mine. I did a Gonal F shot once, it wasn't so bad, but I prefer him to do them. I could never do PIO on my own. I have had a ton of them after 5 cycles, and I freak out for everyone.
PAIF and SAIF Always Welcome!

IVF #3 March 2012 is a BFN
Not sure what to do now. Sad and lost.
it's kind of... funny.. lots of people say "oh the shots will get easier" but I don't know that they do (for me)
I still cry every.single.time before we do them.. and it rips DH up - I feel so bad! But I just think that it shouldn't be like this..... it's not fair! ya know... and then come the waterworks.....
Both. DH did them during our IUI but I was going to be out of town for my first Lupron shots. I actually took an empty needle and injected it (without pushing the plunger) the night before just for reassurance. I continued to do my own Lupron shots but now that we are onto stims, DH does those. He mixes them up for me as well. I appreciate his involvement. It is nice to be able to do them on my own as I was able to do it tonight when we were out to dinner and I didn't want to stim too early/late so I just went to the restroom. I thought it would be hard to give myself, but actually, I just say in my head 1, 2, 3 go and hardly feel the needle. I actually feel me pinching my skin more than the needle. If you ever have to do it yourself I just know you could!!
dh did them for my first 2 cycles, but my 3rd one started while i was away on a girls trip...surprisingly, when you dont have a choice you get the hang of it pretty quick. i am the biggest needle-phobe ever and honestly, the sub-q shots arent bad at all. now pio is another story...dh does those and i cry every time...
DH does mine. He's in the medical field so he has no issues with it whatsoever. Thank goodness. I hate it! I've had to do them a few times when he wasn't around, and it was a disaster.
Both! DH did the 1st few...then I decided I better do if myself just in case DH couldn't be there for whatever reason. I'm glad I did because the anticipation was so much worse than actually doing it. DH offers and I let him. He said that it makes him feel more involved in the process....which I really appreciate!
Well I don't shots for IF but I take my RA meds through injections and will for the rest of my life. I stressed about it at first but now I don't even think about it, I just do it. My DH still gets freaked out with my shots so I will continue to do all my own shots when we add the IF stuff.
My 4 yr old niece is fascinated by my shots. She was totally acting up when I was at my sisters a month or so ago and I said if you act like a big girl you can watch Auntie do her shot and she was like ok lets go I wanna see. Go figure my 37 yr old DH is freaked out but my 4 yr old niece is fascinated :-).

Me - DX Hashimoto's Disease, Hypothyroid, Rheumatoid Arthritis
DH - DX Azoospermia - Sertoli Cell Syndrome
DS-IUI #1-4 BFN
IVF #1 - BFP! It's a boy!!!
I have done all of my own. DH works late hours and wasn't here the first night I had to do it, so it was me or no one. When he's here on his days off he has never asked to do it. He did ask once if he could watch but I had already done it so he has never watched me inject either. Right now I'm using the Follistim pen and it's not so bad depending on where I do the injection (closer to the bellybutton hurts worse so I tend to stay away from there). I still have to pause and take a breath before I actually stick the needle in..I doubt that will ever change. lol

First IVF I did them all but PIO. This time fort FET I decided to do the PIO.
Beautiful Miracle Baby lost at 21 weeks due to pre-term labor and incompetent cervix. FET#1 BFN, FET#2 BFP, early loss. FET#3 BFN. IVF#2 BFFN. FET #4 BFP after removing bilateral hydrosalpinx and 3 months of lupron depot. Sticky Bun is here!!
I am a complete control freak and would rather do them myself even if it takes me a whole ten minutes to build up the courage. I find myself laughing since I am so nervous.
I have to say I do feel a little more well rounded now that I know I can inflict pain on myself.
we had this discussion the other day, and decided that DH will be doing them, because i'm scared to death.

I do them myself because I'm a nurse and I'm also a Type 1 diabetic, so I've been shooting myself up for years! But DH does my PIO and he does a good job!

DH does all of my injections. He hates injecting me but it allows him to be part of the IVF process since he cannot make it to any of the appointments due to work. So it is a bonding of sorts

I do them all myself. My DH has a very weak stomach when it comes to needles and such and I don't want to risk him passing out!
