What I've learned about IVF thus far. . .

1. Follistim and Menopur = burning

2. Cetrotide = itchy!!!

3. The needles keep getting bigger and bigger!

and finally. . .

4. Anbesol may numb your gums, but it does NOT numb your skin! lol that is all Wink

    3. yes...but is it sick that I hope that I will need the big one for 3 months??

    4. never even thought of this!! too bad...it sounds like it should work!

    #4 - my RE's nurse mentioned it to me today that one of her patients used it and said it worked for them! I think they lied... lol

    You guys need to try lidocaine cream. It totally numbs the injection site.

    Yeah, none of it's fun.... but hopefully worth it in the end. My DH bought this cold spray that makes you not feel the shot but doesn't really numb your skin. This cycle he's not even using it because he's so good at giving me the shots I barely feel them.

    Now PIO is another story. It's not the shot itself but the pain and goose egg size bumps afterwards. I don't know how I'm going to get through those again!!

    3.  I am onto PIO shots soon but I am worried about hitting a nerve and having sore bumps

    4.  Lupron gives you awful hot flashes and terrible insomnia

     5.  My DH says IVF is not for the weak

     6.  Needles can cut as well as stab, learned that one day the hard way when withdrawing one!

     7.  I never knew you could get so much blood from one vein, darn E2!

    8.  Who knew your ovaries could feel like two sore overblown  balloons?

     9.  37 shots and counting and many many more to come

    10.  I think you could tranquilize an elephant with the HCG trigger and PIO needles!

    11.  I have never felt more lazy or useless as now with the exercise restrictions, no yoga, come on!

    12.  I have never felt so out of control with my own body

     13.  And lastly, from the RE yesterday, it is quality not quantity that counts!

    H: 34 dx Azoospermia due to CBAVD from CF
