Now that DH is working, it means that occasionally I'll have to give them their baths myself. Doing it one at a time in the infant tub is a PITA, not to mention the one not getting bathed is in the other room screaming bloody murder.
It occurred to me (after the fact) that maybe I could have just bathed them together in the tub last night. They are both sitting up well, so as long as I was watching the whole time, it should be ok, huh?
Re: When are they big enough to do without the infant tub?
someone just posted this question in the last 2-3 days. I think it got bumped to page 3 or so.
But I think if they are both sitting, you should be fine!!
if they are sitting well, then yes, definitely!
I bathed Avery in a laundry basket in a bath tub for a few weeks before she was really super steady.
it totally worked though! you might consider those round bath seats too. We thought about it but by the time we decided to buy one, Avery was sitting up well enough on her own.
I don't know your babies and their abilities, but I know Avery was DEFINITELY sitting well enough by 8 months - it was probably around 7 months that she was a little unstable (but she is a really good sitter so I can't say for other baby's abilities)
if your tub has a slippery bottom, you could get a padded mat too. ours has a skid free bottom and the mat was a pain because it slipped all over the place.
I used a towel a few times - it just got completely soaked but it was some padding for her if she fell
