Refresh my memory please...E2 levels?

I have a friend on the local board who was told her E2 level today, and quite honestly it sounds REALLY off.

What is the general "rule of thumb" about E2 levels and their correspondence to follies?  I forget the ratio.  TIA!

  • I think it is 200 for each mature follicle.

  • Hey lady...I believe it is around 100 or 200 per mature follicle. ?But that isn't really the case for IVF, I think that is more for clomid or injectable cycles. ?For IVF, I think my final e2 was around 1600, and I had 18 mature eggs.?

  • I was told 150-200 per mature follie. Not sure how many mature follies I had at the end, but my E2 was 3352 on day of trigger and they retreived 13 eggs. Maybe some follies didn't have eggs, who knows?
  • Ked - I responded to hers too - it did seem low, I wonder if the nurse left off a number before the other 2???

I hope I didn't cause panic when I posted mine....I'll go over and check :(
