I hate living in a College town

In the next 3 days the size of my town will double because the college kids are all coming back. Which means that the streets and stores are going to be packed all weekend. I think we are going to hunker down and not leave the house. And definatly not go to Wal-Mart.

    Ditto, but move-in day was last Thursday for us. GL!  I wouldn't have a job w/o them, so I really can't complain too loudly, but the first few weeks are always the worst.

    I love living in a college town! But, it does suck to get used to the adjustment when all of the students get back. I love how quiet it gets in the summer - no traffic. Its nice. But I love the college atmosphere.

    I don't go to Goleta, where UCSB is, ever. I also avoid San Luis Obispo now that I'm done with school certain times of the year.

    I love living in a college town but move in weekend does suck!  And I work on campus and have to drive through campus to get home...not going to be a fun trip!

    Ditto on this, too.  DH and I both work for the university, so it's a huge part of our lives.  I just wish we could find a way to manage the extra cars and parking lots.
