I deserve a cookie after this morning!

I've had quite the day so far, and it's just lunchtime!  So last night, DH talks me into POAS this morning because I'm late and he wants to know if I could be PG!  I tell him I don't have any symptoms, and AF is just late... she is regularly late so this isn't abnormal at all.  I end up testing and, as expected, get a BFFN.  No surprise, but it still hurts.  After 4 years of never seeing a BFP, I'm not sure why but it does. 

So I text him "Only 1 line.  :-(" to which he immediately calls me back all excited!  I'm confused why he's so excited and he said "there's a line?!" and I have to explain that there should be 2 lines... plus I put a sad face in the text... you'd think that would be clear enough.  Seriously, after this long, you haven't picked that much up?!  I love that he still has hope that we'll get pregnant on our own though... I've long moved past that thinking.

Then I have to stop at Babies-R-Us on the way to work to pick up diapers for a shower I'm throwing for my pregnant boss because they were on some special with a free gift card.  Get up to the counter and find out the ones I need (to make a diaper cake with) don't qualify.  Great, that was a fun trip for nothing.  As if that wasn't enough, I get to work to find out my coworker-who-hates-kids is 16 weeks pregnant.  She only got pregnant now because this was the only time it would fit into her timeline for her career.  She doesn't even really want kids.  Nice.  Is this enough?  Can I have my cookie now?

    Okay, okay, I'll shoot a little higher than the cookie next time.  I won't take the beer (ack!) but I may go for a margarita.  Mexican is sounding just right for tonight!  Thanks for commiserating with me here, ladies!
