Weight loss (saifw)

I've noticed a lot of you ladies are trying to lose the excess weight just like me.  I've started walking in the evenings again and trying to eat better.  I'd like to ideally lose 50lbs but my short term goal is 15lbs over 3 months.  What are you doing to lose the weight?

  • I'm counting my calories in sparkpeople and I just started the couch to 5k program.  I'm debating whether to start weight training next week.

    I would like to lose 36 lbs. 

    I'm only partially motivated by IF.  My RE has never said that my weight is a factor.  I mostly just want to be healthy and hot.

  • WeightWatchers and lots of exercise (walking 4-5 miles per day) has really helped me. 
  • Metformin.  Eating low carb/low sugar food (taste?...where are you taste?).  Doing "Slim in Six" workout every day.  I'm up to the 47 min tape.  I'd like to lose AT LEAST 70 lbs.  Then I won't look like Jabba the Hut.  :`(
  • Weight watchers and joined the Y.  I wouldn't say I have been particularly dedicated to either, but I've lost about 5 pounds.  I haven't decided on a goal yet.  I have a short term and long term range, but I need to come up with a number before I ttc again.
  • I'm both tracking calories and doing South Beach.  I track calories on my the daily plate on livestrong.com   I've lost 15 pounds since June doing South Beach and walking at night (not regularly).  I pretty much eat all the time like I'm on phase 2 of south beach since it's good clean eating.  Come Sunday, I'm going hardcore back to phase 1 to try to lose the last 5 pounds.  I figure it's a good time to start since I cant drink alcohol anyway while stimming, and I'd like to try to keep from gaining actual fat this cycle, bloat I can handle.
  • I have lost aprox 12 pounds (maybe more but I haven't weight myself). I have been counting calories in a notebook (limit 1100/day) and swimming about 1 hour X 3 a week. Keep up the good work!
