DH is being a big baby about taking Doxycycline-ha ha

He is afraid it is going to make him barf and he ate a huge meal for breakfast and says now he feels "off" but is probably in his head.  He has been worried about it for weeks when they told him he'd have to take it.  It makes me laugh but it kinda irks me too that I have to pep him up for taking a stupid antibiotic pill!   If only he had to go through half the stuff I'm getting ready to and have already!

Anyone else's DH a big baby?

  • Stick him with a PIO needle, that will shut him up!

    Men are such babies!

A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

  • Yes! I could have written this post exactly. All I heard for ten days was how the antibiotics were making DH have an upset stomach. I was the same way as you...I laughed initially but after a week and a half I was annoyed with the complaining especially compared to what we all go through. Not to mention I had to take the same antibiotic before the HSG and I survived just fine. Men are certainly funny!
  • Mine was also about the doxycycline!  We both ended up sick off of that lovely antibiotic.

  • We took Zithromax since I am allergic to doxy & penicillin.  He ended up with the sh!ts after taking it.  He came into the bedroom holding his a$$ asking me in a very accusatory voice "What the heck did you give me?!?"  I LOL of course.

  • Nope, and it didn't make either of us ill. I'm allergic to some antibiotics (amoxicillan & erythromycin)..... but not this one. It was easy breezy.

I would think taking it on a full stomach would make him feel less sick in the stomach. That's just my thought.  ::shrugs::
