No power at my house for the last 13 hours

and TXU/Oncor is in no hurry, since it's only one side of our street (about 30 houses) to get it fixed anytime soon. The storm wasn't even that bad last night. There isn't even anyone from Onocor in our neighborhood (I know this since I canvased the streets looking for them at 2:47am and gave up at 4am). We were told power would be on by 11pm, 2am, 6am, and then when I called at 615 we were told hopefully sometime today. You're kidding, right? I have a child how has a feeding pump and I can't feed him since the battery is dead on the pump at this point. So we went to work and Colton is with DH's cousin who lives on the street behind us (with electricity).  Oh and it was fun with us getting dressed by flashlight this morning. DH said "it's just like we're camping". All I know is they better get it fixed soon.

I did. She told me she can understand my frustration and she's sorry. Um no, you have no idea and you are sitting in an air conditioned office. I'm burning up in a house that is 86 degrees. I have to get his dr(s) to sign something saying he has a medical need and then TXU will provide us with a generator till power is restored. Well, that's what someone else there told me. I tired hard to be nice to her. I know it's her job and she has no control over this but man, it's so irritating!

  • Ugh, you're right that is irritating.  Poor sweetie pie :o(
