Infertility

I don't know what happens post IVF BFN....

I don't really want to have a WTF appt because there's no point.  We can't afford to do another IVF anyway, and what does it matter for a FET, should we ever feel ready to do that? Mostly I just don't want to spend more money, KWIM?  As far as I know, it's not included in the IVF fees we've already paid.

Do I go on the pill to keep my endo at bay until we decide what to do?

Do I just let AF come and hope the endo doesn't come back too quickly and/or get another lap if it does?

 Do I just give up?

Do I go grade papers now?

Re: I don't know what happens post IVF BFN....

  • ((hugs)) maybe you could do a quick phone/email WTF appt just to find out about the BCP issue?

don't give up, but don't grade papers either.

  • I don't know.  Your emotions might be too raw right now to make a clear decision.  I just wanted to tell you again how sorry I am.  I hope somehow things work out and you're able to do a FET sooner than you think.

  • Oh, honey.

I would check to see if the WTF appointment is included in what you've paid.  I think it might be good for you to talk to your Dr. to ask him some of these things and to see what he thinks happened.

Also, perhaps he can give you some advice for when you do decide to do a FET.

I am really sorry that things did not work out this time, I was really pulling for you.

As for the papers... screw 'em.

    Hugs, honey.

  • So sorry!  I would call the RE to see what they suggest regarding your BCP issue and the endo.  Don't give up.  You don't have to choose right now.  Maybe the finances aren't there right now, but they could be later.  FET may be an option then if you can afford to store them.  Give yourself some time to grieve before you decide.

    ((((HUGS))))

  • I'm so sorry :( I think a WTF appt should definitely be included in what you're paid.

     Definitely do not grade papers.

  • I am so sorry about your BFN. That really sucks. I would ask if that appt would be covered. Maybe give yourself some time before you go. Decide what you guys really want to do. Huge hugs. I am so sorry.

  • My advice is to go on BCP to keep the endo at bay and drink a lot.  When drinking a lot looses it's appeal, then you may be ready to begin thinking about scheduling a WTF appointment.

P.S.  I'm really sorry for your BFN.  I know how much it hurts.

  • If u have frosties you cannot imagine how lucky you are-although I know that does not make this bfn easier.

A fet is less $ and easier on your body.

When you are ready you should call your dr and talk to him about that. GL. I know this is hard.

  • I don't really feel like frosties do me much good.  With lower chances of success, and it still costing $5000, I don't know that we'll ever go there.  We paid to freeze them just in case, but I have 7 on ice.  At what point do I call it quits?  After 1? 2?  5?

I have never had a FET work for me, but there are lots of girls on here that are  pg from FETs... just a little something to think about.

    Hugs.

  • I just wanted to say I'm sorry about what you are going through.  These decisions sound heart-wrenching, and I just wish no one had to experience this.

  • First- forget about grading!!!

Second- check to see if a WTF appointment is included.

I was rooting for you this entire time and I so sad that it didn't turn out to be more positive.  Good luck with everything and take care of yourself.
