I was all set to register for Avent bottles. Seems like they rate well in Baby Bargins. Well, after reading the reviews on BRU I'm not so sure it's a good choice. What bottle brand do you like best?
I like the playtex vent air's and the drop ins. Don't register for just one type of bottle, you have no idea what your LO will like. Add a few different ones in smaller quantities
But ditto PPs - don't commit to one now. I received a gift set of the Born Free, but I didn't open it until I knew DD was okay with that kind of bottle. I bought just a single Born Free bottle and tried that first.
We have used Dr. Brown's from day 1. I had some Prince Lionheart Silocone Bottles, but we didn't like those. I don't know if it's the bottles or the Soy formula, but she has never been a gassy or refluxy baby. GL with whatever you choose!
I agree that you should try a few bottles before settling on one - maybe register for a variety of single bottles. We literally tried 9 different bottles before we got one that worked for DD - which were Born Free. I'm very partial because it took so long to find a bottle that DD could actually drink out of without wearing most of it, but the Born Free bottles are amazing! Having tried so many, I can tell you that she gets little to no gas from them and doesn't burp as much.
Also, we registered for Playtex Ventaire and have 15 of them because we thought that we would just use them - not only was DD very messy with them, but they started to leak after about a month.
I guess I got lucky from the start, DD will take any bottle i've given her as long as there's milk in it lol. I pump so I just use the medela bottles, and I also have a few Avent ones too.
We love our Playtex Drop-Ins. They don't have many parts. Because the formula doesn't touch the bottle, you only have to wash the nipples every time. We wash the bottles about once a week, and they're really easy because they're a tube.
Also, DS doesn't get much air because the bag sucks in as he sucks the formula out. They're great!
We started out with the evenflo purley comfy then we switched to the avent and now ended up with the dr. browns, a very expensive trial and error. DD has reflux so we tried a few different things to see what worked best. I would say register for a few different types then try one and if it is not working try another you can always exchange them I'm sure. But I really did like the evenflo bottles, they are my first choice then the dr. brown's

This. We've used the Drop-Ins, VentAire, Nuks, and Soothies. So far our favorites are the VentAire's and the Soothies. DS doesn't do well with the Drop-Ins or the Nuks.
Re: Help - need help choosing which bottles to register for...
This.
DS ended up liking Born Free bottles the best though.
We're using the Born Free in glass.
