NTTTCR: Anyone getting tired of work drama...

My job has become the most political, discouraging, horrible place to work. There are shady things going on as far as hiring, restructuring, promotions, etc. I hate it! It makes me want to vomit! No one knows who to trust anymore...I guess what makes it so bad is that I work at a higher education institution where the focus should be on the students---but it's totally NOT.

Anyone work somewhere where there are horrible injustices or such drama that it interferes with your job or your ability to get your work done?

Im totally with you, we have a serious issue of favoritism going on. Its crazy and no one will do anything about it. So a few people get to do what they want while the rest of us are left to pick up the slack, it totally sucks. Makes me want to quit everyday!

hang in there, it can be rough- espically when you are dealing with IF, everything else seems so not important.

I hate my job and I work at a "fun loving" kid entertainment industry.

I have been there 6 years and the people there all hate each other and they non-stop gossip about each other. This other girl hates me, I'd like to think for no real reason, she just always has even back when we were part-timers together, and she is always starting some rumor, usually my being pregnant. This one just surfaced a few weeks ago again:< Last summer after I missed a few days she told everyone I had a m/c and was trying to get them to call me while she listened. I went to our manager who blamed me, since I had said I wasn't feeling well. I went to HR and it's cooled down since then, a bit. But this one girl is the root of most of the issues and it's a sales office so the other 4 hate each other, but love me. She likes to talk about the others as well. It just sucks since if I went by her rumors I would have at least 4 kids by now. I am just so glad she doesn't really know about my m/c. She goes on maternity leave next week so it will be nice for awhile. She doesn't do much, I do like all the work, and she makes twice as much as me. She has favorites of our part time staff, chews them up and spits them out. It's really sad to see. I just try to stay out of her way. She has our boss wrapped around her finger. he is a big gossip too. Our main office is in another state, and HR is in another. So it's just the 7 of us.

Sorry to rant. But I agree, It's so hard to work in such a drama filled office. That sucks that someplace like a school is so bad.

ME, ME, ME!! I HATE my job. It's the worst. I work for a husband and wife team that have no idea how to communicate. It's pure torture going in everyday and I am making it worse on myself because I have such a bad attitude and hate being there.

Yup. I love the work I do but the work environment is very drama-filled. People are mean and rude to each other, talk about each other behind their backs. There is a ton of sketchy stuff going on at my work; it blows!
