Success after IF

Did you thank your RE with a gift, etc?

My IL's asked me this question, and I told them that it was a good idea, but I wanted to wait to be sure I wasn't going to have to go back there again before I sent anything!  Just wondering if anyone else has done this, and if so, what did you send and when?  Thanks!

  • Yes, I sent in a catered lunch from Panera when I was released.

  • No!  I thanked them enough with all the bucks they made off of me!  I'm poor, they're rich!  LOL!

    Wheee!

  • I brought them cupcakes at my last visit and wrote my RE a really nice card.
  • Nope! I will send an announcement after the baby is born.

  • I just thanked them all immensely at my last appt. and plan on sending an announcement after the baby is born...but I still see them from time to time because I volunteer with my local RESOLVE chapter, so I run into them at different events. I love them and will be forever grateful!!

  • I absolutely love my RE (and her partner) as well as all the nurses and other staff.  My time there was actually pretty short, though.  We knew we needed IVF, and it took just one cycle.

After the babies were born, I sent a long note telling them about my pregnancy and the girls and how grateful I am to them - how they are my heroes, etc, because they made it possible for me to have my wonderful girls.  Yes, it was sappy!  I also included a birth announcement, and we brought the girls to see my RE and one of my nurses when they were a few months old.  (I did call ahead to find out when a good, non-busy time would be.)

  • I just sent them an announcement after I had B.  About 3 weeks later I received a silver baby spoon in the mail from them.

  • I just finished packing up my thank you - a box of peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies I made today, plus a thank you card.  They asked me the last time I was there to make sure to send them a birth announcement too once I had the babies.  I was kinda leery making up the cookies today since I'm still so nervous, but there's nothing I'll be able to do at this point anyways.  We more than likely wouldn't pursue any other treatment, so I would still want to give them something for getting me this far.

  • I think I might bring them some cupcakes when we find out the gender in a few weeks.  My RE's office is two floors below my Peri's office, so I'll probably just stop down there and drop off the goods and a card for my RE.

After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

  • i'm planning to send an edible arrangement w/a birth announcement
  • I sent them a TY. I figured after all of the money we paid them that was plenty! They'll get a birth announcement when mybobble baby is born.

  • I plan to, but I am too paranoid to send them anything before I have a baby in-hand.  I'll probably send a gift along with the baby announcement.

  • I sent a cookie basket from Mrs. Fields cookies.
