Did anybody ask for the procedure to see if you have endometriosis or did your RE suggest it. I have very painful cramps, I miss work because of them and I am in tears for the first day or two. Other than that I really don't have other symptoms, well besides IF. Was the procedure painful?
Re: Endo diagnosis?
Have you had any ultrasounds or other internal testing done? I have irregular and painful cycles too, and my RE has me going through u/s, sono and HSG before considering any meds at all. My u/s showed an endometrioma, the other two tests are next week. I am a likely candidate for Lap surgery but I haven't had it yet.
My mother had one years ago, and she said the best advice she had was to start some form of ab exercises way in advance, because they go in through the belly button and it can be hard to sit up for a few days, so I guess the stronger your muscles are the faster the recovery

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
I had mine because of constant pelvic pain and a cyst that would not go away, but I think since you have symptoms and still not getting pregnant I would do one if I were you. Why waste more time and money on fertility treatments, imo.
I had to switch OBs before I found one that agreed with me on needing the lap (I'm so glad I did!!)
It was fairly easy for me, they found a lot of endo so I had a lot of burning from that, and I hated the feeling from the anesthesia afterwards so I was really groggy and out of it but otherwise it was fine. The diagnosis is the hardest part for me.
Yes I have had an internal ultrasound and HSG. The HSG was all clear and looked really good. The internal us showed one tiny cyst. My RE said the cyst was nothing to worry about and so small that it would never cause any trouble in getting pregnant. I am starting my 3rd round of clomid tomorrow.
