mini-pill ?

Ok, I feel like an idiot for asking this, but here it goes - what exactly is the mini-pill?  Is it the BC that is only progesterone?

  • Yes.  There are 28 days in a pack and their are no "reminder" pills.  You continually take them.

  • i took the mini pill with my last son and got pregnant taking it. this time after i had my daughter im getting the iud merena it doesnt effect breastfeeding at all and you can take it out whenever you want to get pregnant again or leave it in for up to 5 years i would ask my doctor about it.

     This is not 100% true- if you check the Mirena website they state, "Small amounts of the hormone in Mirena can be found in the breast milk of nursing mothers. This is not likely to affect the quality or amount of your breast milk or the health of your nursing baby."
