Two Under 2

What diaper bag do you use: big enough for 2 kid's worth of stuff.

I have been shopping..and want to make sure I have a bag big enough for a 18 month old and a newborn's stuff.

Brag on your bag.

  • I have 2 that I use for all 3 kids - a Mia Bossi Maria, and a Storksak Emily. Both fit a lot of stuff, and are stylish and don't look like diaper bags.

  • Skip Hop Duo Double.

I have 3 in diapers and it's perfect.  Weighs 16lbs when it's packed, but it fits everything I need.

  • I've always gone the "oversized" purse route. More choices and better priced.

I've used them when I nannied (2 year old and newborn) and always fit what I needed... I just keep extras in the car.?

I love mine.  DC#2 has bad reflux so I can't leave the house without 4 burp cloths, 3 outfits, 6 bibs, a shirt for me, a chill bag for his 3 different meds, etc.

  • I still use my skip hop bag for the most part.  I just take enough for a couple hours.  I BF, so didn't need bottles, etc.  I have an extra bag in the car with extra clothes, diapers, etc.  I also have an extra bag of toys, etc. for restaurants that we just take when we go out to eat (which is very rare).
  • I got a skip hop dash with DS1 and it's not enough.  after exploring my friend's bag, i have asked DH to get me my own timbuk2 bag for my birthday.  i saw that it came in the mail, can't wait for my bday in 2 weeks!  It's a cargo tote and is so big!  I can't wait!

My favorite features?  Size.  Zipper top.  Water proof interior.

  • I also used two.  The primary bag was a Kate Spade, blk, tote that held everything!  ANd then I would also use a Eddie Bauer when I was just making a quick run somewhere.
  • Mine are 17 months apart.

I too went in search of the perfect bag.  Didn't find it before the baby came.

Then I realized that the one I had worked just fine.

You may want to wait and see if you really need a different one.

Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.

  • I like using two tiny ones so that the kids can be separated if needs be.  I use the Eddie Bauer minis.

  • I had the Skip Hop Double Duo. Loved it. No complaints. Actually ended up lending it a friend of mine that was PG with twins.  She used it for two more years before giving it back to me (so it lasted almost 4 years total) and it's still in great shape.
