We are moving back up to Upstate NY in a couple weeks (we are in FL now) and I'm doing my best to get rid of things here and there that I don't *NEED*......
Well, I have to admit that I am a sneaker whore!!! I love my very large collection of sneakers and was almost in tears today going through them to downsize! I threw out 8 pairs of sneakers and had to force myself to put them in the garbage can outside immediately....... I knew if I didn't, I'd be back in the bag pulling out a couple pair to sneak back in and keep!
Dh almost fell out of his chair when I told him I was actually getting rid of so many-- he knows I am a hopeless sneaker whore and thought I'd never really do it.
Its a good thing I just bought a new pair of Nikes today at Kohls to console myself with (I bought them before I threw out the others) and I will admit that I have a brand new pair of Avias still in the box I bought in May too, oh, and the other black Nike's I *HAD* to have that I bought in April and have only worn twice............
I hope dh doesn't sign me up for that new show on A&E-- Hoarders......they would have to pry my sneakers from my dead, lifeless hands to take them away!!!
Who else has an addiction they'd like to share to make me feel better??
Re: NBR: My name is Jenn and I'm a Sneaker Whore!
HI Jenn, thanks for sharing..
My name is Elle and I'm a handbag whore. I recently purchased a Cole Haan bag (it was on sale) when I was supposed to be paying down my credit card. In my defense I've already carried it 4 days straight.
Thanks for letting me share..........
Hi Jenn,
My name is Jennifer and I am a flip flop whore. I see a pair and I have to buy them. I also buy in multiples you know ones for everyday where and ones for umm if I go out yeah. When we moved in Feb I had 92 pairs of flips flops. I was in trouble with DH. So I had to hide pairs again. Yep it is bad! I have been told if I pair a pair I have to through a pair out. NOt going to happen.

I am a book whore, I buy them all the time. I also check out at least 6 from the library at a time and I have an account on paperbackswap.com. This all leads to stacks of books just sitting around my house but I love it!
I am also addicted to buying shoes, all kinds. I have some gorgeous heels, just sitting in the box, b/c we live in a rural area and there are no opportunities to wear them.
Me: PCOS/Amenorrhea DH: Azoospermia due to Y Chromosome Micro Deletion IVF w/ ICSI on hold until further notice

Hi Jenn, Hi Elle, Hi Jennifer, Hi Amanda. I'm Rachael and I am a reformed shoe and purse whore. It has been very hard to let go of this way of life and I do slip every now and then. But what helps me get through it is the fact that I opened my big fat mouth and made a deal with DH that for X amount of those items I buy, he can get a guitar or baseball bat or parts for his harley or cars. So to spike myself, I try to not buy any.
I have not changed my ways in terms of fabric or yarn or other crafting supplies. I think my past habits have manifested themselves in this new obsession. Oh well. At least I make things out of them I suppose.
Whew, that feels good to get that off my chest

Hi Jenn, Hi Elle, Hi Jennifer, Hi Amanda, Hi Rachael. My name is Tarah and I'm a clothing whore. I have so many clothes I don't have enough hangers for them all when they are clean. I have 90% of the closet, 6 drawers under my bed and a dresser complete with my clothes in it. And guess what? I can never find anything to wear!! LOL
DH thinks that he cut me off, so now I buy new clothes and take the tags off in the car, throw the tags away and put them in the laundry room so he thinks they are dirty clothes.
You ladies are making me feel so much better!
I know my addiction is ridiculous..... I look forward to the Sunday newspaper ads to come, so I can look at all the sneakers on sale-- and I say "OOOhhhh I might have to go buy those.....or maybe those!!" And the funkier the colors, the better......
I don't know why I am so attached to the ones I have, even if I don't wear them that much! It truly makes me sad to get rid of them!!!
