Blue Cross BS in Arizona?

Does anyone in AZ have this insurance?  I ahve it and so far they will cover all infertility diagnostic tests, but no treatment.  I have heard that if I go on Climd, they will no longer cover me...is this true in AZ?  Each state is different, but I seriously can't afford to not have health insurance and I am scared to call them.  Help!

Re: Blue Cross BS in Arizona?

  • Why are you scared to call them? You will get your questions answered and know for sure if you do. No policy is the same, even with the same provider and state you live in. It will be well worth your while to know what is and is not covered.
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

  • Why would they drop you if you went on Clomid?
  • I have BC/BS of AZ but zero IF benefits...not even diagnostic. ?In my case, my employer opted out of it.
  • There are quite a few cases of BCBS dropping insurance coverage and refusing to cover women who take/have taken Clomid all over the place, from what I hear it is quite common.  I am scared to call because if they would drop me, I would not want them to know that I may have to take it.  I think I may have my husband call just to find out.
