So I have been limiting my self being we are starting to TTC the middle of Sept. I am down to 1 cup of coffee OR tea in the AM and one cup of tea at night. I know i should really only be on 1 cup a day and ween to nothing. BUT this is a HUGE improvement since I used to drink like 5 cups a day.
What are you coffee/tea lovers doing?
Re: coffee/tea lovers who are TTC
Well I switched to decaf for my nightime tea, and if I get starbucks more than once a day (yes it happens
) I get the 2nd decaf. But even decaff has traced of caffeine in it.
Im really trying but its so hard.
I quit cold turkey a couple of months ago.
I've found that drinking my 2 cups of green tea required pre O fills my need for that hot drink in the AM.
Coffee - I don't mind decaf. If I'm really struggling I'll do a half-cafe mix.
I "treat" myself to coffee now and then and swtiched to decaf tea in the a.m.
It's tough though. I lurve me some coffee!

I'm awful. I've weened myself to 1-2 cups coffee (from 3-5 all day) in morning and none during day, and only do caffeine-free diet cokes now about 3-5 times a week.
last time I was KU I cold turkeyed all caffiene and diet sodas (for the aspartame and caffeiene issue) and was fine.
If I don't get BFP this cycle, I'm switching to solely green tea in morning with coffee only as "treat"
I can do it (she says shaking in withdrawl . . .)
To answer previous posters question - yes Dr. Pepper has caffeine in it.
I wasn't a regular coffee drinker, and have slowly found myself drinking a bit more coffee and tea recently. I generally drink either one cup of coffee or tea a day. I'll amend that if I get PG. Right now I don't know if I could function in the morning without it. When I get coffee at Starbucks though, it's always a short latte, so I figure small portion, not much coffee ... right??
I love my Starbucks- I can't lie. I try to limit it to 1 cup a day- even doing half decaf, which works best for me. When I was pregnant for some reason the idea of coffee turned my stomach- it was so weird! So I am not worrying about it now- not sure how my body will react next time around.
Oh- and by the way- this may seem random but we have a lot of similar dates and DH and I are most likely going to TTC in Sept as long as AF shows up in time- we could be buddies??
I drink whatever I'm in the mood for. I've gone without caffeine for 6 months and have two miscarriages to show for it, so I'm in *eff* it territory and no longer will make the *serious* and relatively ridiculous dietary changes that WTEWYE suggests.
I drink up to 2-3 cups of coffee/tea a day without remorse. The statistical probability that it will cause another miscarriage is low to nil and still highly controversial.
