Fet Report...3's enough..right?!

I've lurked here for awhile and post every once in awhile. We've been TTC since '07 and finally moved onto IVF this cycle. We had 7 eggs at our retrieval yesterday and got a call from our nurse today that only 3 fertilized. She said "we'll call you this weekend if anything  happens-otherwise we'll see you at 10am on Monday for ET". Ugh...I'm dissappointed.

 From your experience do most/all usually make it to the ET (after fertilization). I know everyone's different and no one is a doctor but I'm hoping you guys can shed some light. I asked the nurse and she just said to 'stay positive'.

    My last cycle I had 6 retrieved, 4 fertilize and three made it to the blast stage for a 5 day transfer. One is growing nice and strong as we speak. You will hear this all the time on the board and people told me when I was freaking out about only having 4... Quality over quantity!
    A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
    After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
    My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

    I had 5 eggs retrieved but only 4 were mature.  All 4 fertilized with ICSI but only 3 made it to the blast stage.  We put two back and froze one.  I got pregnant but unfortunately had a miscarriage.  So, it can happen.

    Like Krissy said it is quality over quantity!

    Sorry I don't yet have much experience.  I am doing my 1st IVF and just had my ER on Tues.  They retrieved 28 eggs and only 7 fertilized.  I haven't been called yet with an update for today so how knows how things look today.  So we were very disappointed with those numbers.  I don't know the statistics of how many embies make it to ET.  Just wanted to say good luck and I know how you feel.  Try to stay positive; everyone keeps saying quality over quantity so hopefully those 3 you have are healthy and strong!  Good luck!

    I had 6 eggs retreived and only TWO fertilize. they both got top grades and I had a positive beta this week. good luck to you.

    I just wanted to say good luck.  I totally know how you feel.  I had my ER yesterday and we got 11 eggs but only 6 were mature and only 4 fertilized.  Like many have said, it only takes one.  Good luck and keep us updated.
    TTC #1 for 2 1/2 years with Endo 3 cycles with Clomid in early 2008- all BFN's Lap #1 4/2008, Lupron for 6 mos Refered to RE 3 cycles with Femera and IUI in early 2009- all BFN's Lap #2 06/2009 IVF #1: started cycle 7/15/2009 ER 8/26/2009 ET 8/31/2009 BFP 9/7/2009 C-Section 5/5/2010 TTC #2 since May 2011 IUI #1 March 9 2012= BFN IUI #2 April 6 2012= ????
