Anyone going through IUI?

Hello ladies! It has been a while since I have posted. I had a miscarriage in Jan 09 at 8 weeks along. DH and I have been trying since Feb with no luck. We hit a few bumps in the road and we are hoping that we have finally cleared those. Everyone around me is either having a baby, already pregnant, or just finding out. I guess I feel like the last (wo)man standing! I was the first to start TTC and now we are the last. It's so frustrating!

We tried IUI last month with a BFN and I was completely devistated. The doctor has me on clomid and hcg shots. I have read a lot of success stories on the internet so I'm trying to stay positive. We have the insemination early next week, so I am getting anxious. I would love to hear from others!

Sorry for your loss.

We are getting ready for our 1st injectibles/IUI cycle in September. Just finished 1st Clomid/IUI. Best of luck to you in the next few weeks. So exciting!

Good Luck!! I hope all works out well for you. We had two medicated IUI's- the 1st was BFP m/c at 7wks and the 2nd was BFN so we have now moved on to IVF.

1st medicated cycle I was on 50 mg of clomid and 2000mg of metformin and didn't O. The next cycle I upped my clomid to 100mg. I responded really well and had 3-4 follies and 10mm lining. I had the hcG shot that same day. The next day was the IUI (cd17) and now I've just found out this week I am pregnant!

We had been trying for 2 years so the fact that this happened on the 1st IUI has me very shocked and cautious.

It can be very successful! Have you tried the SAIF board? Their are a lot of successes there and they never mind offering encouragement!

I just did my first IUI on Tuesday!

I have been lurking over in Succuess after IF looking at siggys and finding comfort in the ones that say "IUI #1 - BFP!!" this is helping me stay positive!

I am going to be doing my fourth one today. We did two natural IUIs and one on 100mg clomid - the third one worked, but then we had an early m/c.

Try not to get too down yet - remember, even if everything is perfect, we still only have a 20-25% chance each cycle, so it may take a few tries. Good luck!
