Thanks! Yeah, after being on bedrest and meds, she decided to come early anyways! It was for the best though, my placenta was partially detached and she had a true knot in her cord and it was around her neck. My body knew what it was doing! She is doing really good though and hopefully will get to come home in a few weeks or so.
Daddy was dissapointed to miss it, but like he says, he has the rest of her life to be there for lol. I hope things are going good for you too.
I have very real fears that my hubby will be in some airport far away when our kid arrives! He has a very busy Sept and early Oct. and we're due early Nov. At least your guy was in the neighborhood. I don't think there was anything you can do with a fast delivery like that.
I read up on your posts from the past week or so, and it really sounds like she's a healthy one... despite the usual preemie related stuff. The cord knot/wrap is always so scary. But her little picture is just adorable and she looks really great!
So far we're still chugging along. I get another U/S on Tuesday to see if there are any markers or heart issues showing up yet. So far, so good. Kid is kicking so dang hard I threw up after lunch. He/she is not a happy camper in those close quarters!
Which board do you think you'll frequent? Just in case I need an update on you!

Probably preemies. The girls on 0-6 are a little harsh for me lol. How are you feeling emotionally? I didn't give myself time for a mental breakdown before she was here. I had a mini meltdown while in labor b/c it dawned on me she would be here and I was alone and could I really do this? But once she came out, I forgot it all. I haven't seen her in 2 days b/c I am sick, and I feel totally guilty about that but my DH goes to see her at night after we get the boys to bed. Plus, I know she is in really good hands with her nurses.
Anyways, I don't remember where you live, but we just moved to Denver a little over 2 weeks ago, so if you are close, we should get together. Talk to you soon!
Emotionally, I'm okay. Still have all the DS stuff in the back of my mind, but I think we've both kind of convinced ourselves it won't happen. A bit of denial there. Sometimes I wish we did do the amnio to find out for sure. So I'm still a little unnerved by it, but will roll with whatever happens and will probably have a freak-out as well at some point.
Gosh! Congrats on the move. It's been a busy month for you! We're actually Front Range, but much further south, so I don't get up to Denver very often. I used to live right near City Park and loved it.
If you like... I can PM you my email if that's easier for chattin. Just let me know. If we do end up with a DS kid, it's good to know someone who may have a child around the same age with similar abilities to compare notes, etc.
Sux that you're sick...Hope you're feeling better soon, but you have to get healthy before you can really be there for E! She'll certainly understand!
