TTC after 35

New here.. and my first IVF cycle coming up.. nervous..

Hi, everyone.. I'm new this board.. I'm 39 (will be 40 in dec.).. After a year & half of trying & every test under the sun.. finally got the insurance approval a few weeks ago.

I just stopped the pill on Sunday..no period yet.. so I'm going to doc's for bloodwork..hopefully levels are low to start on saturday as planned. I'm nervous.. not sure what to expect with the meds.. I know what I'll be taking, but not sure when/how much.. I'm assuming that's a daily call from a nurse to advise & advise of the times..

Any help from anyone.. suggestions? Calm me down a little.. I soo want this to work.. I have faith & am hopeful it will!

Thanks!

  • Welcome! Just take the IVF cycle one stage at a time and try not to think too much about the phases ahead. Good luck with your stims, and if you need help with anything, let us know.

  • Welcome to the board.  Like PP said just try to take the IVF cycle one day at a time.  Your nurse will help you with all of your medication doses.  You can do it!

  • Best of luck to you!

  • I know it seems like a lot right now....but once they sit you down and give you the instructions it will feel better.  I taped the calendar and dosage sheets in the bathroom so we could remember how much & when.

    Welcome and GL!!!
