Are you getting the guard rail? Or for second time moms, did you really need the guard rail? I've already purchased the convertible crib, but need to order the conversion rails and the gurard rail now. Do I need the guard rail? I can't decide. It's only $60, but that's still $60 I could spend elsewhere on baby. Opinions on this?? Thanks!

Re: If you purchased a convertible crib, or are a second time mom with one...
Mine came with my conv. crib, but since the new baby will be using DD's crib i had to buy a toddler bed anyway so i never used it maybe i will with DS:) But DD's toddler bed has a guard rail, i knew she would need it because she moves alot in bed, i would spring for it.

I ordered the guard rail with our bed and I think I paid about $50 for it. In my opinion, I would rather pay than have my LO roll out of bed.
There are some other alternatives if you don't want to buy the one that comes with the bed. There are hide away rails that are cheaper at BRU and other stores. I've seen them run anywhere from $20 to $40.

All of this. No to the guard rails but I do still need to get the conversion rails that make it a full size bed.
