Hi Ladies,
I've been sporadic with posting. Still dealing with being nonfertile. We have talked about using DE. Our insurance will not pay for any of it so please help me figure out a way to finance it. It's definitely going to cost 25k. I want to prepare so we can get this ball rolling. What do you all recommend?
Thanks for any feedback!

Re: How to pay for DE/IVF?
Hi, I just wanted to say I'm in a similar boat, no insurance and trying to come up with 25K to hopefully sign up for shared risk IVF. I'm trying to figure it out to get the ball rolling as well. In my mind I keep trying to think of it as a car payment, I figure I'll have to pay around $400 per month to pay it back. I'm hoping to save at least 10K and then maybe take out a loan for the rest, maybe a signature loan through my credit union, or we wanted to refinance our home to get equity, but there are so many forclosures we can't get it appraised high enough. Or, my car is paid off so I was thining I could do something tricky with that... I don't know..., I'm stuck and still dealing with beign non fertile as well. Good luck and hang in there, it will happen, eventually

Hi~ I'm in the same boat. Sitting here trying to figure out how to finance tube removal and IVF for the last week or so as just found out its our option. I think its going to be a long road and trying to do as many little things as I can to save at this point. Also I'm looking into a 2nd job or even may look for a different one in the new year. Luckily the clinic does do shared risk but its still a lot to come up with to get going. I've also thought about a loan on our car our through our bank as we have a pretty good rep with them and loans in the past. If you come across any good info I would love to hear it too!
We had no coverage, and yes it totally sucks. We did decide to cycle at a less expensive clinic (CNY) and felt like our treatment was top notch. It saved us ~10,000.
We basically lived like college students the last couple years and saved as much as we could, our parents both helped us out as well as my Grandad. I'm really lucky in that our families have been extremely supportive.
