I am going to do it today.

my friend raved about it, but I am kinds wondering what I got myself into.

Any thoughts?

ETA: I am currently a waxer.

Re: Not 3tc: Anyone have their eyebrows threaded?

  • Yes and I love it! I found out the hard way that i'm allergic to waxing so threading was the perfect solution, doesn't take too long, not too painful - doesn't tickle but it's managable, and the result is awesome, they can be so precise w/those little threads!

  • Ooh I love it! It stings a little bit but is not bad at all. It lasts a long time and there is no heat or chemicals used. I haven't done in a long time but it is my favorite way to have them done. You're not as red as you are after waxing.
  • my thought: OUCH!

of course I've never done anything to my eyebrows. I just do not have time to do that level of grooming!

  • I've had it done and I didn't like it :(  I felt like it hurt so much more than tweezing.

I know a couple people who rave about it too, I'll just keep tweezing.

I hope you have a better experience

Ohhhh honey... if your eyebrows looked like mine... you would find the time.

If I don;t groom, they would grow down to my cheeks! ;)

  • i have threaded eyebrows and love it.its a common way to do eyebrows in countried like india etc. the lady i got it done from stays about 30 mins away.so quite a drive. i switched to waxing cos it was fast...

i hear ya about eyebrows growing...i even get my pper lip threaded/waxed...if i dont i will have a serious moustache!

  • I have been getting my eyebrows waxed for years, and i just recently tried threading- its okay- I thought it hurt more then waxing- but its a weird pain- I cant really describe it. I would do it in a pinch, but I still prefer waxing, and I LOVE my waxer lady!

  • I have thought about doing this.  I am a plucker now.  I have never waxed.  I only have to pluck every 3 weeks or so to get the strays, so I am not sure if I should even spend the money on threading.

  • I had a BAD experience with this! I had it done for a few months and then developed an ingrown hair and now I have a bump/scar on my brow.

  • Yes, yes, yes! I used to do it all the time when I lived in MI (like every 2 or 3 weeks) but when we moved to VA 4 years ago I couldn't find anyone that did it. Just Tuesday I was walking through the mall and there was a new place called iBrows and I got mine done again. They look so good now! It is usually cheaper (12 dollars) and less painful then waxing (I HATE waxing). Now I guess my addiction will start up again!
  • i do. it's a different kind of pain than waxing... but wax is so bad for my skin - i prefer to thread.
