Today Show piece on frozen embryos

I watched the segment this morning.  The only criticism I have is their tv doctor (can't remember her name) kept talking about implanting embryos instead of transferring them.  They even had a representative from RESOLVE on there but she didn't correct the doctor.  Very annoying... get your facts straight!

    oh i know!    i kept getting so mad when Nancy Snyderman said "implant!"     how much would we LOVE for the doctors to implant our embryos?!    sadly, so not the case.     the RESOLVE lady said the word "transfer" and I felt she did a great job trying to keep Ann Curry in check (did anyone else feel that she had an agenda?).

    I hate that Octomom made everyone start saying "implant."  GRRR!

    After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

    I saw this too, but I think that what she said was that scientifically speaking it was implantation where it was official not the transferring.  In otherwords I think in the science community it didn't count as anything until they implanted not just the transferring.  I think that the science community doesn't look at the eggs that have been fertilized as babies like a lot of us do.  Just my take on it.

    I wish she would have said something though.  When an 'expert' keeps saying implant it just keeps the ball rolling...

    I love how they have their "medical correspondent" Dr. Nancy Snyderman on their talking about a subject she has no experience with!  I think it's safe to be she was never a RE when she actually practiced medicine.

    I have been correcting so many people lately about not using the word implant.  If they could be implanted then that would solve a lot of problems!
