Infertility

No IUI for me this month...

So I was all excited to go in for my CD3 visit, start meds and get this show on the road... and I have a huge cyst on my left ovary :(

My right ovary that I had reconstructed after the endometrioma removal looks great and is producing antral follicles!

So it is a good news/bad news situation. I am picking up birth control pills today- which just seems so counter productive for all of this. At least I know now why my periods have been kicking my butt! And why BD has been uncomfortable.

I am happy to see some of the more 'experienced' posters move on to SAIF! That is so exciting. Hope we all join then by the end of the year!

Re: No IUI for me this month...

  • So sorry about the cyst.  I too always laugh a little that so many of us have to go on BCP to get pregnant!

Good luck with everything and hopefully your next cycle with be your lucky one!

  • Ugh, I feel your frustration. My IUI cycle was cancelled this month because of a large cyst on my right ovary. I'm on CD 15 now and on BCP. Stick out tongue

  • Here's to cysts going away quickly! I keep on looking at the calender, counting days, trying to figure out where this all puts me a month from now! My husband is going to a conference and I am just sure that it will be the weekend that we need to do our IUI!

I guess the good think is from now on- my body won't be in control of my cycle- my RE will (well- mostly anyway).
