LO has to be 6 months for the flu vaccine - I just talked to the pediatrician about this at my DD appt. yesterday ... she said no info has come out about the swine flu vaccine yet - they are still waiting for when, etc that vaccine will come out. I would imagine that would be 6 mos. too. It's a hard decision about vaccination but I did ask her about if the vaccine contained Thimerasol and she told me it doesn't which was my main conern. As of right now, I think I will have her get the vaccine when she turns 6 mos. especially if we have her in daycare at that time.
I've heard 6 mos. but I'm not sure. We won't vaccinate for the flu though, DH and I have some concernes over the preservatives that they use; moreso than we are concerned about the flu. It's definitely a personal choice though and I would never judge someone who did vaccinate their LO for it.
Re: s/o flu
Six months for both, I believe.
