Infertility

Some people....

Should be required to apply for licenses to have kids! I went to our county fair tonight to see a concert. Now this was a full blown, lots of loud speakers, bright lights and screaming people Jason Aldean concert. Ya'll I saw a guy with his baby that I swear was maybe 4 months old in the seating area. And it's not like he was just passing through because you had to have a ticket to even get in! He had his infant at a concert!!! WTF??? To make it even better....he was carrying the poor kid like a football, sorta tucked into the crook of his elbow with the baby sitting on his forearm. I wanted to slap him!

Then I'm watching Toddlers and Tiaras (it's one of my guilty pleasures lol) and this wackjob mom has her daughter in a cop outfit for the pagent. On the back it says "Bad Cop, No Doughnut". The mom starts talking about about how people take it as an inuendo for something else but that her daughter just thinks it's funny that it says doughnut on her outfit. Next she says that she hopes the other people there get it and so do the judges because it's funny. REALLY??? On a 4 year old a sexual inuendo is funny??? GAH!!!!

Ok I'm done now. :)

Re: Some people....

  • I agree...licenses should be required for anyone who does not know how to carry their child properly. Some people are just obnoxious!!

  • I often wonder why some people who clearly shouldn't be anywhere near a child are able to have one, when other people like us cannot.

  • I used to live in Miami Beach and people would bring their infants and kids out to eat dinner at 10-11pm.  There was a 18 month old kid screaming bloody murder once at a restaurant next tom me and I was thinking "don't you think that kid outta be in bed???"

WRT the football carry tho I find that it was a very convenient way to carry DD when I needed a free hand and she was small.  My uncle used to carry my cousin this way and I thought it was weird, but I found it useful with my DD.  They actually promote that way to hold your child when breastfeeding.

  • Totally agree about the license thing. As I was walking in to the Resolve meeting at the library, a woman was basically beating her 2 year old for acting up in public. As the child is crying (obviously for just getting smacked repetitively) the "mom" was telling her to shut up.  Makes me sick.,...
  • The toddlers and tiara shows drive me insane!!  I was exclaiming to DH last night that I can't believe that they think it is ok to make thier little girls look "sexy" and do stripper moves....so effin disturbing...

and along those lines...on my way to the RE yesterday and there was a woman standing on the street corner to the entrance to the women's hospital.  She was clearly very pregnant, wearing a hospital gown and and those hospital fuzzy sock/slippers and she was SMOKING...i wanted to run her over.  Angry

  • This seemed appropriate. A fellow IF sent this to me a few weeks back:
