Need your help deciding hair cut

Here is a picture of me from just over a month ago:

And here is a picture from a year and a half ago with the hair cut I'm thinkng about getting:

What do you think? I feel super crappy about the way I look right now and all my clothes don't fit well at all so I'm thinking that a shorter hair cut would draw more attention to my face rather than my mid-section. Am I totally wrong?

    First, I think you look great!  I like the shorter hair cut on you.  But IMO I think the shorter hair makes my face look "fatter" so I keep mine at shoulder length or longer.

    Has anyone ever told you that you look like Kristin Bell (aka Veronica Mars aka Sarah Marshall)?  I like the shorter flippy cut.  If you want to keep the length, try some longer face-framing layers.  They look great with bangs.

    There was another bumpie who told me I look like her just a few weeks ago. Thanks for the compliment! She's gorgeous.
