I can't quite bring myself to get a Brazilian - it just seems like the pain might outweigh the benefits. I don't mind shaving it all off but it's so itchy when it grows back that I don't do it that often and it's too much to maintain - I'm lazy when it comes to shaving.

I usually shave too, but recently I have been thinking about trying out the waxing thing. But I too am afraid of the pain.

LOL, funny poll. Confession: I work at a level one trauma hospital and one of my biggest fears is getting in a car accident on my way home and being brought in as a trauma and having my clothes cut off only to reveal a big bush. Needless to say, I like to keep things nice and trimmed Wink

I have been thinking about waxing for a while because no matter what I do I have a day of wonderful smoothness that changes to a horrible breakout. I am just scared it will hurt really bad and growing it out to get it waxed makes me nervous.

Good timing for this post! I have really been wanting to get a Brazilian but not sure if it's worth it. I shave every couple days, if any more often I break out horribly! For those of you that wax - how often??

Ok ladies I am Mexican and very hairy... LOL TMI I know, so I have to keep it as clean and neat as possible.. LOL

It does not hurt as bad as u think... Take some painkillers like tylenol or motrin before hand...

Yeah, I want to know ... how bad does a brazilian hurt? I've considered it, but like a PP I'm scared of the pain and baring all! Another confession, I went to beauty school in high school so I learned to wax and had a wax kit. I tried once to give myself a brazilian. It took me forever after I put the wax and strip on to build up the courage to pull it off. I don't know if it was because I let the panic buid up or because I was doing it myself but it freaking hurt! Is it that bad when someone else does it?

Depends on how fast ur hair grows I go every 2 weeks sometimes 3... For those shaving everyday this will cut down on your time...

Trust me ladies it does not hurt as bad as u think... A little pain not much goes by pretty fast

LOL That's cause we are selfish and can not intetionally hurt ourselves so you did not pull the strips fast enough! I've done my own but hate how long I take also... They do it in sections and the area that hurts the most is closer to the top by the lips... The other rear area does not hurt!

i got a brazilian in high school once and yeoooowch! it was painful. i probably wouldn't have had a bad experience if she didn't go so slowly and tell me how much it was going to hurt. i just shave now but i am going to try an epilator for my legs and if it works for that area too, i might just do that. unless i chicken out, of course.

Oh ladies also depends on the time of your cycle. If your boobs are sensitive then that are will be also! Strange but I have to get it done right before I O!

I've had brazilians before but now I just stick to shaving. The place where I was going cost over $60 a pop and I would get anxiety before going every time. It was the smoothest that area's ever been though, I'll give it that. I also took painkillers before going but it still hurt!

I bought a lady trimmer at sephora by bliss and love it. I can trim short enough that i'm comfortable but not shaved where it is itchy!

Ok I know I'm late to this but I voted "other". Two reason why...1) I used to get brazillians done every six weeks 2) Now I get brazillian laser hair treatment done

I have to say the waxing hurt at first but after a few times it's really not bad at all. And compred to the laser treatment it tickles. I've cried during the laser but totally worth it in the long run.
