Can't you just use any old cookie cutter? I make heart shaped eggs sometimes, well back in the day when I had nothing better to do. If the egg pours out of the shell into a mickey shape, that is disturbing.
I don't understand what's so disturbing about it? It's eggs with disney characters stamped onto the shell. The yokes don't come out of the eggs like that, they used a cookie-cutter.
Kids flip out for character stuff. My toddlers love helping me make breakfast and I bet they'd love choosing which character egg to crack in the morning. I'm not silly enough to spend more money on decorated eggs, but I don't find it disturbing. The micky-shaped fried eggs are cute!
Evelyn-Mommy to Ben 9.20.05 and Emily 5.14.07 and Callie 7.10.09!

you'd understand the disturbing part if your college senior thesis for your bachelors had been a 15 page paper on the affects of food related advertising on children and obesity levels.
It's branding, a marketing technique designed to create and enhance life-long brand loyalty and consumerism...and while it may be my pet-peeve, it totally gives me the creeps!
Well, I'm nothing if not a mindless, consumerism-driven slave to the brands I pledge my undying loyalty to;) Brand-awareness is the new Christianity...but, you know that because you wrote a paper on it.

This. If my children were lacking protein and this helped; I'd be all for it! Oh and my kids loved the mickey mouse waffles at disney world!!

A 15 PAGE paper!! Wow! A college senior thesis = expert. If I had that kind of super capacity for learning, I'd probably be outraged by these devil eggs too...but alas, my poor simple mind just can't see what's so disturbing about eggs.
Methinks Pope might have had your type in mind when he wrote "A little learning is a dangerous thing..." haha. B/c I'm quite sure that childhood obesity levels aren't skyrocketing due to kids gorging themselves on eggs.

Seriously 15 entire whole pages? I bet they made you cite your sources too. Whoa! That is heavy. Puts the master's thesis I did on consumerism and narcissism to shame.
If those Disney eggs got my kid to eat eggs, for damn sure I'd buy them. They are a lot healther than her not eating which is what she normally does. Plus who really cares. Companies can make anything they want but it doesn't mean we have to buy it, so why is it so disturbing?
I seem to remember the idea that purple and green ketchup was geared toward kids and no one liked it and now its not here. If you don't want it, don't buy it. Simple as that.
And BTW, your 15 page paper is a great topic, but my Master's thesis was a helluva lot longer than that. If you are going to reference something, reference a fact from the paper, not the 15 pages. I think you'd get more respect.
Re: Just plain disturbing - I am so not letting LO EVER have these
