specifically, does anyone use the digital clear blue easy OPK..i think i'm going mental trying to compare the control line to my line-so i was thinking of giving it a try..
otherwise. i think it would be helpful for anyone to give their imput on what brand they use and what time of day they usually test ![]()
Re: which OPK do you ladies use??
you might be better asking these types of questions on Getting pregnant board.
But digital is best and it is best to use it when you havent peed in at least 4 hours for the best result.
I have used the dipstrips at babycreation.com for a long time, mainly because I'd use a lot of OPK's in one cycle and they are so cheap. Except for once, I haven't really had too much trouble distinguishing the test vs. control line. But I know it's a really tough call sometimes. I also bought a pack of Target's generic OPK's a few months ago, which are also tests where you compare the lines; those were okay too.
I've also seen some posters on here use the cheap tests for the most part, but then splurge and confirm with a digital when the dipstrip came up positive.
Edited: I never tested first thing in the morning, but always tried to be consistent with the time throughout a cycle. It usually ended up being when I got home from work.
A trick to saving money. Use a line test (I always used target brand) and then when you got a maybe positive but can't tell for sure, test with the digital. It extends the box of 7 through a few months that way and is way cheaper.
*You will have to pee in a cup to retest the same urine once you get the maybe.

I normally use the "Answer" ones. I know ff has pictures of positive tests and negative tests on their website. I have to test so much I try to keep the costs down.

I use Clear blue easy. I have the fertility monitor and digital OPK. I've used the fertility monitor for the last 3 cycles for charting, but since I read the OPK work better for IUI, and so I have used both (same stick works in both so I dont have to waste 2 sticks a day). luckily I have gotten the same results with both.
good luck
