I didn't answer because I'm pretty sure that I won't be pregnant anymore by the time it gets to the doctors offices, so I haven't asked about it. I agree with Kacie though, it makes me nervous the lack of testing at this point.

It's just another 1st tri paranoia post. The swine flu will kill the same amount of people as plain ol' influenza does every year. Sadly, the poor will be most affected like always b/c they cannot afford proper health care. I wish people would just stop freaking out about it.
I'm an RN and will be back to work during cold/flu season. We are all getting both the regular flu and the H1N1 vax this year, mostly due to the newborn. I get exposed a lot to the virus, and since baby cannot get vaxed, we all will.
i posted a thread about this earlier today, & although I got flamed for stating that some people get the flu after getting the flu shot (i should have said "still get sick" - they just get a different strain), many people aren't getting it. i'm very wary of getting it based on what i think is hype, esp, since i'm very healthy, & have never had a flu shot before.
however, since LO will start MDO in january, that makes me think that BFing and passing along a little of the protection to him may be worth it. my dr is keeping an eye on the CDC website, so she said we'd discuss it more later.
Re: Clicky Poll: Dr's Advice regarding Swine Flu
There just hasn't been enough testing done on it for me to feel comfortable getting it.
