Infertility

follies and famera

so today i got an ultrasound done and my folies were not big enough as the last time.  so now i need to come back in on tuesday to see if they got bigger so i can get the ovideral injection.

That would make it nearly 22 days today since my last period to wait to get my ovideral injection.  i wonder if this timing thing and the size the folies are suppose to grow makes a difference. By the time i go in again it will be 29 days.....that would mean im a week away from my "period" if im basing it on when and if i start since i dont ovulate on my own.

any thoughts?  Also i have not had any blood work done since the inital RE appt.  i thought they had to do blood work throught out every tr?

Re: follies and famera

  • I am sure for everyone it is different. But I usually go in cd 12-13 and normally they are not big enough and then I come back cd16-17. My doc. has me go in early "just in case" my body decides to ovulate early but normally I am at cd17, that is when the follies are big and ready for ovideral.  I wish you the best, keep us posted!

  • I tried two cycles with femara

cycle #1: I had 2 follies (both 18mm) ready by cd11, lining was 6.8 mm - triggered cd 12 and ovulated cd 13. BFN

cycle #2: I spotted after my period all the way to cd12. On cd11, I had a 14 mm follie and a 3.7 mm lining. On cd13, I had an 18.5 mm follie and a 6.4 mm lining - also a BFN.

I noticed that my cycles were different on the two femara tries...I don't think it is going to work for me so I am moving on to other drugs....
