Going in for hysteroscopy tomorrow...what do I need to know?

Do I need to have someone drive me home? I just talked to my nurse and forgot to ask her. I'm getting on antibiotics tonight. Anything else?

  • yes, have someone there to drive you home! Hope it goes well.

  • I had one in February to remove a uterine polyp.  Someone did have to drive me home because of the pain killers that they gave me.  It wasn't a horrible procedure and I was just fine soon after.  Good luck to you.  :-)
  • I didn't need anyone to drive me home. I did it at CCRM (I know you're there too) and my DH was there, so he drove. I could have easily done it though.

Just so you know...Dr. M will use lidocaine if she feels like you'll be in any pain. I seriously felt nothing!

    Good luck!
