why did you get pushed back? is everything ok?

i really HOPE i get to start on 9/4. it'll all depend on my b/w and u/s on the 2nd, but my fingers are crossed. i'm ready to get this show on the road!

He saw a cyst on my overy when doing the u/s. He said it was just left over from last cycle and it should usually be gone by now, but sometimes they stick around. He just said it is nothing abnormal, just take the bcp for one more week and we will start next Friday. I am confused, because I am extremely new to all of this. He still says everything looks perfect with me and we are strictly MFI, so does that mean the 1 mature egg always becomes a cyst on the overy on all women? I haven't done much research because I worry enough on my own, so I chose to not worry about things he specifically tells me not to worry about LOL.

what did you do last cycle?

i got cysts about every-other cycle on clomid. a follicle that didn't release, from what i understand, and just got bigger and bigger instead. usually they went away on their own, or i would trigger them to push them off of my ovaries. so long as the cyst isn't producing a ton of estrogen (which would be clear from your b/w), they usually aren't a problem if they are small. i went ahead with cycles when having a 17mm cyst still hanging around in there. so they aren't really a problem if they aren't pumping estrogen into your system and if they are relatively small.

so not worrying is the right thing to do! of course, i'm worried i'll have a cyst and be faced with the same thing! ha!

I wasn't on anything last cycle. I will give you the full history if you want to read that much...

We just got married last Sept and just started TTC in April. After only 4 months of TTC I wanted DH to get a SA just because his volume was very very low. When we got the results on 8/3 there was no sperm. So since then we have had 2 more SA's, bloodwork, and a visit to the urologist and have concluded that DH has a mild form of cystic fibrosis and was born without a vas deferens. Hence the 0 sperm count. So we have literally gone from TTC naturally to IVF with MESA and ICSI being our only option in 3 weeks. RE started me on bcp on 8/6, but before that, I wasn't on anything.

So maybe RE just thinks we should wait so we have perfect conditions to move forward. It sounds ok to me, like I said, I have not been suffering IF long enough to complain about 1 week.
