Baptist Hospital in Nashville

Has anyone delivered here?  If so, how would you rate your experience?

Re: Baptist Hospital in Nashville

  • I delivered there in 2007 and will again next month.  We had a wonderful experience from the moment we were there for my induction at 1 week past my due date.  Please talk about it being a "baby factory" and I just dont' know what that is supposed to mean.  I was not crazy about the nurse I had during the first shift of my L&D the next one was wonderful and after 18 hours, ended up with a csection.  The recovery, post partum and lactation nurses were simply wonderful.

  • I had a great experience! They were all very sweet, and I did not feel like anyone was rushing to get me out, or anything like that. I loved it!

I didn't deliver at Baptist but you had to change nurses? I've had 3 babies at 2 different hospitals and all three times my nurse stayed with me past the shift change to see me through the end.  Nurses make a world of difference. I would say nurses are more important than the OB during labor. My first 2 boys I had the same nurse and she was awesome. The nurse for my 3rd was okay, but not as entertaining and didn't look out for me the same way my nurse at the other hospital did  [my nurse with the first 2 was smart enough to order me dinner knowing I would deliver after the cafeteria closed and would be starving. Williamson didn't do that and I was starving with no food.
  • baptist is simply AMAZING! i drive an hour to get there and wouldn't change it. the best doctors, nurses, and over all comfort was well worth the drive. i give them my full trust. it is an amazing hospital. as far as a rating, a full 10.

  • My sis inlaw had a baby there and while i was there a nurse came in and asked if she was ready for a massage, I was like a what!! Massage wow that was way neat!!
  • I delivered there in July. I loved my experience. I had wonderful nurses on all shifts, and I NEVER felt rushed... on the contrary actually. They MADE me stay a full 48 hours after she was born. I was ready to get out!

The rooms are gorgeous and very spacious. The recovery rooms aren't too spacious, but they look brand new and are beautiful.

Also, all moms get a free 15 minute massage, and the nurses in recovery are awesome. Plus, they have the highest level NICU available.
