DH had his surgery this morning. Talk about nerve-wracking...they called me in the waiting room at 7:45 and said they had him sleeping and were about to start, that they'd call back in 20-25 minutes when he was done. Fast forward to 9:15...no call. I was about to freak out. Then they called me up to the desk and said that his doctor wanted to speak with me privately...all of the other doctors/nurses had just come in and talked to the families in the waiting room..umm whhhhat?
Turns out everything was (sort of) fine. His surgery went well, she feels confident that she was able to correct his issues. She is a little concerned because one side was much worse than the other and typically it is reversed (his right side was bad, normally it is the left side) so she wants him to have a CT scan in a few weeks to see why it was like that.
He is at home and sleeping...he is tons of pain and feels pretty sick. Hopefully he can sleep the afternoon away.
And I *may* be having surgery Friday..today is CD1 and I needed to be between CD4-12 for the surgery but my doctor is making a judgement call as to whether or not we can go forward with it. I'm waiting on a call back from her. I HOPE AND PRAY she will say it is a go. Please say a quick prayer for me so we don't have to put this off until next year.
