Strep test and hemorrhids

I have my first internal and strep test tomorrow and I was wondering if I should not salve my massive hemorrhoids in hemorrhoid cream.  I don't know if it will throw off the test.  I've put a call into my doctors office but they are slow to reply to non-emergency calls.

    They *barely* swab the outside of your anus...it isn't like they stick it up there or anything.  Don't worry about it.

    I wouldn't worry too much. The swab lasted a second and I didn't do anything for my hemmies beforehand.

    They did the test on me the other night while I was in L&D in case I was in premature labor, which I wasn't.  But either way, it's over so fast.  I don't think having or not having hemmies would make a difference.  They barely touch your anus with the swab, you don't even really feel it.  I don't know about the cream though.

    I had my test yesterday and if they hadn't told me there was going to be some anal swabbing, I honestly would never have known. I didn't even feel it. As for the cream, I personally wouldn't put any on before the test. Even if you do and it is a problem, they could just give you a wet wipe to wipe it off.
