  We also skipped the service and bought our own stash.  My favorites were Knickernappies and BumGenius 3.0.

  We use them but just wash our own. We were worried the chemicals services use would be too harsh on DC and that they'd partially outweigh the environmental benefit. We mainly use prefolds but use pockets for overnight and babysitters.

  We wash our own b/c it's way less $$. But I know several people who use(d) Tidee Didee and really liked it. They all tried to convince me to use TD, so I know they would recommend it.

  I use Tidee Didee and have been really happy with it.  You don't even have to rinse.  Niiiice!
