Seriously...MIL kills me! (In a funny way)

So I was just chatting with MIL about SIL being pg.  She did IVF and this is a long awaited baby.  My other SIL said they already knew the sex and I was surprised because I thought she was only 14 weeks or so.  I said wow it is early and my MIL says "well I think the doctor is a little off on the date of conception".  I was stunned into silence for a second and then said they did IVF I am fairly certain everyone is clear on the date of conception.  MIL says "well you never know" in this tone of voice like the doctor is confused or SIL is flubbing the date a little.  I started to explain IVF and she was like I know how it works.  So I just decided to be quiet. 

Oh lord I love her because she was so serious when she questioned whether the doc knew when the baby was made.  LOL she means well but she just cracked me up!

    She could be in denial, she should know how this works since she is a nurse. But none of DH's siblings have been able to have kids.  BIL and SIL adopted due to IF, SIL and BIL did IVF and DH and I will be doing IUI with donor sperm.

    As much as FIL and MIL act like all the IF doesn't bother them I think it must in some ways.  

    She was just so certain that SIL was lying about the date she got pg or the doctor was confused about it.  It was just so cute and I know DH was sitting next to me thinking don't laugh honey.
