Can I get some quick advice?

I already told my boss (the head of my division) that I am PG.  I am telling my group toay at our meeting.

I realized that I should probably tell the head of my Dept (who is also the head of the hospital) as well.  She is insanely busy.  If I tried to schedule a meeting with her, it would probably be in 2 months, lol.  So I am thinking I will just send her a quick e-mail.  We e-mail almost everything here, so I think it will be ok.

Sounds reasonable, right?

    I think an email would be fine.  Is she your boss' boss?  If so, has he already told her by chance?

    If it is your boss' boss, I would expect the news to trickle up from your boss. Otherwise, I would think an email is ok.

    It's kind of weird.  She is my boss's boss but also my boss (as in she is the head of my academic department).  We have a crazy-ass structure here.  I actually have 3 positions, so I have several bosses, but I've already told my functioning boss.
