Giving up caffiene

How long is this headache going to last?  This is brutal.  I have not had caffeine since Sun.  Mon. I had a small headache that I was able to get rid of with tylonel.  Yesterday I had a splitting headache that would not go away all day until I took a nap.  And this morning I woke up with a headache.  Who wakes up with a headache?  This is just awful.

    Oh no - that sucks! Maybe you can try to taper off instead of going cold turkey to help with the headache? Good luck!

    I would also suggest tapering off. I had one cup a day and it helped a ton, no headaches, now I can go a few of days without it and not notice any effects from not having it.
    A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
    After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
    My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

    I am in the throes right with you.  Started yesterday.

     

    I did this( giving up caffeine) in January before IVF.... the really bad headache lasted for about 3 days, then it got better.

    I went cold turkey 2 years ago. It sucked for a week and a half and I haven't looked back since.

    Feel better soon.

    Dx: MFI, DOR, 9 Fibroids and homozygous MTHFR

    I am going off caffeine too and I woke up with a headache this morning - my friend told me her headaches lasted about two weeks when she went off caffeine.

    I started out with half caf/half regular for about 2 weeks. So it wasn't so bad to go all non caf now.  I tried this last September for our first IUI cycle and gave up after 3 days of headaches, I also didn't think I was THAT addicted to my 1 cup a day! This time it was a bit easier?  Maybe try the tapering like PP's suggested, it worked for me?
    2.5 yrs of TTC, 6 failed IUI's (clomid then injectibles), 1 failed fresh IVF (with 27 eggs retrieved), and finally our sticky baby on FET #1 in August 2009. Baby Aiden arrived on April 24, 2010!!!! Lilypie - Personal pictureLilypie First Birthday tickers my blog

    Ugh, I hate the withdrawal headache.  I agree with pp- when I give up caffeine I try to wean myself before I quite cold turkey.  Of course, I only give it up for the 2ww, so big kudos to you  :)
