DH is getting a MESA. I had to set some things up for him and needed to talk to, lets call her, insensitive T. As she and I were talking, she seemed to be really not listening and I asked her to explain why something was the way it was and she goes to tell me " You should expect that! It is after all ELECTIVE surgery!"
Ok. I logically know it is elective surgery. However said elective surgery is the only way that I may ever be able to conceive. So, for someone who wants a baby, it really is not elective surgery. It is essential to the process. There were a variety of ways that she could have approached my question without being an insensitive dumb@ss. My usual person to talk with called me this morning to apologize.
But really, should I celebrate my elective child on thier elective birthday? GRRR. I tried to tell her that when she is talking to an infertile person who just cant go off the pill or whoops, get pregnant, it is important to have some sensitivity. She just didnt get it.
Anyway, insensitive people suck.
Re: Urologist staff suck!
