Cleaning the bathroom?

How long does this usually take you? When do you typically do the dreaded task? How often? What is your process for tackling this job? I feel like it takes me forever to clean the bathroom and we only have one? Sometimes I think i'm too picky about how clean I can get it and I drive myself crazy!

    20 min tops. I clean the one DH and I use 2x a week. And the other three only once a week.

    start with the shower, spray the entire thing, scrub it down, wash it down, scrub the floor of the shower.

    then move onto the toilet

    then the sink

    windex the mirrors

    lastly mop the floors.

    wash the rugs once a week- wash the towels twice a week.

    15-20 mins tops for each for me too, but I do them weekly so they never seem that dirty. We have 3 bathrooms and so I first run around and squirt the toliet bowl stuff then run around and spray bathtub, shower stuff then while that is soaking I do the sinks, then the toliets then the shower, and I actually get into the shower and stay there at take a shower afterwards so the bathrooms are usually my last cleaning for the day. It's pretty quick and I found if you wait more than a week, they can be a big pain so just do weekly quick cleans.?
    I do the floors usually the next day when I do all of my floors. I am a top to bottom cleaner so I will usually do bathrooms and dusting one day, vacuum and mop the very next. Then keep it up with basic cleaning and vacuuming for the rest of the week until it's time to do again.?

    I'm an admitted clean freak and it's 15 min TOPS for me... I use cleanser and put it in the tub, sink, and toilet... I scrub the toilet first, then the sink, then the shower. ?I spray everything with bleach and let it sit for awhile, too. ?I wash the rug about 2x a week, change towels 2 - 3x a week, and clean the mirrors whenever I notice spots on there. ?I mop 1 - 2x a week, whenever I mop the hardwood downstairs. ?I clean the bathroom 2 - 3x a week and spot clean as needed.

    I wipe every other day or so with a disinfectant wipe, I only do a real clean like every 2 weeks.  Aren't I awful?  It always looks good though!

    dag - you ladies are good!  i clean it MAYBE once a wk.  it's always neat, just not necessarily spot-check clean.  i only do the whole bleach/scrubbing thing 2-3 x month.  is that totally gross or what?

    Never measured the time, but I get it all done during naptime. 

    Gel the inside of the toilet & let soak.

    In the meantime, windex the mirror .

    Clean off the sink.  Softscrub the sink & toothbrush holder & soap dispenser.  Scrub & rinse.

    Back to the toilet to scrub the inside, then wipe down the outside with lysol antibacterial wipes. 

    Splatter softscrub in the tub & let soak.

    Remove all rugs & sweep.  Get all new linens/cup for sink & scrub down the tub & wipe the outter rim with lysol wipes & rinse.

    I clean when my kid is in the bath - 1x a week... it works cause I have to be in there with her anyway, kill two birds with one stone!  I leave the bath shower to clean when she is in bed... spray it down, scrub it, rinse.

    I'm the same as you. I do the big deep clean about twice a month. Otherwise, I wipe the sink and toilet down once a week with antibacterial Clorox wipes. And I Swiffer the floor as needed between deep cleanings. It's just me and my husband right now, so I guess they just don't get that dirty? Or maybe I'm a terrible housekeeper?

    ETA: I just did the big clean today, and it took about 45 minutes to do both bathrooms. That also included doing one load of laundry because laundry is in the upstairs bathroom.

    Not gross to me!  I wipe down the counters/toilet seat with clorox wipes a few times a week, and let the maid to the toilets and shower/tub every other week.  I freaking hate cleaning the toilet and shower; it can totally wait till the maid comes.

    Before we hired a housekeeper that took over the bathrooms on a weekly basis, I felt like I would spend hours in there and all the scrubbing bubbles fumes made me feel like I was going to vomit.  Ugh!  :(

    I must be a freak about the bathroom, too... or maybe I just wasn't doing it right.  ha!
