I think I'm going to cave and have a glass of wine...

I'm on week 2 of BCP for IVF#1, in severe caffine withdrawl, and have had a bad day....our dinner tonight calls for 2tbsp of wine, and the rest of the bottle is calling my name.  I might not though since it's a $5 bottle of cheapo wine...hopefully I'll take a sip and it'll suck and I won't do it.  We also have a dinner party coming up and I know there'll be good wine there, so I'm thinking that I'll wait till then.  If you dabbled in drinking while on BCP, how much did you drink and was your IVF successful?  I'm so worried that every little thing I do will mess everything up for me...but I know if I think like that I'm doomed.

    I am pretty sure we went out to dinner one night and I drank on BCPs.

    I did get a bfp ( and m/c, but that had nothing to do with my wine!)

    Go ahead and enjoy a glass or two. My RE said I could drink all the way up until stims and even then I could have a glass.  My RE said if it relaxes you a bit it's OK...Drinks

    My RE is very strict about the restrictions.  It seems like I have a lot more restrictions than many of the other posts I read on here.  But, my RE says it is okay to drink alochol until you are on the stims.  Honestly I think a glass of wine during the BCP phase is fine.

    while you are on BCP i'm sure its fine; unless you are taking other meds?

    if so then have a glass, up until you start stimming you are fine.
